Located in the Tulsa Arts District, the Bob Dylan Center serves to educate, motivate and inspire visitors to engage their own capacity as creators. While the center is anchored by a permanent exhibit on the life and work of Bob Dylan, it also offers additional exhibits, public programs, performances, lectures, and publications, through which it aims to foster a conversation about the role of creativity in our lives.
Play Tulsa Music was created with the goal to provide an economic boost to the music ecosystem throughout the Tulsa region. This program addresses the negative economic impact on Tulsa’s music industry caused by the pandemic. Musicians and other people in the industry can apply for a grant to keep being able to make music, or pay for things musicians need like album artwork, recording time, etc.
Walk on the wood floors where Eric Clapton, Tom Petty, Willie Nelson, Stevie Wonder, Kansas, and Leon Russell walked. The Church Studio is hallowed ground and the epicenter of the famed Tulsa Sound and features a comprehensive collection of Leon artifacts and memorabilia including the only known self-portrait. Various displays and exhibits show the historical significance of The Church Studio while celebrating today’s music industry. Unlike other historic studio “museums,” The Church Studio is a real-world working recording studio that boasts top-of-the-line analog and digital gear.
