So pack your bags and your sense of adventure, because West Texas is calling and Visit Big Bend is ready to help you answer!
Next stop: Big Bend National Park! As the Road Trippin’ team approached the park, we stopped at a few sights of interest in the surrounding areas, including the Los Caballos formation and the US Army Camel Experiment marker. Once we reached the park, Trevor’s first stop was at Panther Junction Visitor’s Center, where Park Ranger Rick Gupman shared more about this special area and what visitors can expect. After getting the lay of the land from Ranger Rick, the Road Trippin’ crew headed into the park to start exploring. They stopped by the educational and illuminating Fossil Discovery Exhibit, where visitors can experience the changes to Big Bend’s plants and animals, and the world they lived in, through 130 million years of geologic time. From there, they stopped by the Chisos Basin, Window Trail, Mule Ears, campgrounds, and the spectacular Santa Elena Canyon.
