Welcome to Kana Wine Tasting Lounge, founded by husband-and-wife team Lindsay and Shawn Kana, where Shawn makes the wine and Lindsay does a little bit of everything else. And that includes great themed events that have become a favorite in town. This family goes back generations in Bastrop and they try to bring that spirit into everything they do.

A glass of wine at Kana Wine Tasting Lounge is the perfect way to whet your appetite and head around the corner to another downtown Bastrop gem, Storehouse Market + Eatery. This 175-year-old building has seen some history, but before it was a funeral parlor and even a brothel, the building was a storehouse for dry goods and was the only building downtown to survive a massive fire in 1862.
Now Chef Sonya Cote and team steward the building’s newest life as a dining destination filled with charm, history, and beautiful art. Here’s a fun fact, the stunning inlay pieces you’ll find in the main dining room were created and hung by Chef’s good friend, the one and only Richard Linklater.
